Five key projects represent crucial research and development focus within the LOIS. First project is oriented into development of the internationally excellent programme of business education for managers in science called SMBA.
Second project focuses into researching of open innovation models with special attention on high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), international research network expansion and collaboration in the field of innovativeness, and mentorship work with young gifted researchers.
Third project is called dissemination. It informs and transfers key contents and information about the Centre of excellence, its research work and development to different stakeholders in Slovenia and abroad.
Fourth project monitors technological policy for high-tech SMEs nationally and globally. Focus is on the permanent assessment of the expectations of Slovenian high-tech SMEs about national technological policies by conducting an annual in-depth survey.
Fifth project develops and promotes management and leadership in the open innovation systems, and importantly helps in spin-off business model’s development.
